@wedsociety.northtx recently asked for my thoughts on one of the most personal parts of any wedding day: writing your vows.

If the blank page feels intimidating, you are in good company. The couples I work with often arrive worried about getting it "right." My advice is almost always the same: Forget the formula and say what is true.

Vows written in your own voice, about the commitment you are making, will always land better than anything that follows a template.
